Performance of the Optical UV Filters for the Auger Fluorescence Detectors
The performance of optical UV filters for the Auger Fluorescence Detector (FD), under various background conditions, is presented. The analysis is based on spectroscopic measurements taken in the laboratory and under the natural night-sky background radiation. The obtained filter performance parameters are presented in comparison with the simulated results. A study of the FD trigger efficiency and the influence of background radiation on it, is performed as well in this work.
